I work with professional actors and business clients to explore how best to make their voices work for them. Through individual or group sessions, we find ways of building confidence and enhancing technique to ensure best vocal practice.

My work in theatres requires making quick connections with actors and creatives to enhance performance and bring to life each show's vision. At whichever stage I'm involved, I assess what's necessary to propel the voice work from rehearsal into the performance space.

Wellbeing

Effective breathing and relaxation lie at the heart of any voice work. Over the pandemic, I have tailored my work to address these in relation to managing stress and anxiety, to discover stillness and tap into our body's energy and potential.

Long Covid Wellbeing Research

Between September 2021 and June 2022, I worked with The Old Vic and UCL, researching the potential benefits of arts based practices with people experiencing Long Covid. The findings were published in 2022 and can be seen on the Old Vic website.
The success of this project enabled us to secure funding for repeating it in 2023.

My work enables actors to convey the writer's words and director's vision through their character's voice. Working on clarity and vocal energy, we explore ways for the actor to magnify the authenticity of the rehearsal room into a huge auditorium.
